OFFICIAL PROCLAMATION OF THE CITY OF SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO

WHEREAS, Ruben Romero has contributed 30 years of himself in a most generous and
unselfish spirit through his many hours of benefit performances; and
|
|
WHEREAS, Ruben has been most generous in donating his time and talents by giving
concerts for the benefit of the Children’s Museum, the Palace of the Governors,
the Santuario, Site Santa Fe, various churches, and many other civic functions; and
|
|
WHEREAS, Ruben has also been instrumental in the promotion of traditional
and contemporary flamenco music; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the city is proud to have such an eloquent citizen and a native son in its midst.
|
|
NOW, THEREFORE, I, LARRY A. DELGADO, Mayor of the City of Santa Fe, do hereby proclaim May 2, 1999 as:
|
|
"RUBEN ROMERO DAY IN SANTA FE"
|
